Srinagar, Sonamarg and Leh Ladakh Tour Itinerary

Day 1

ARRIVAL IN SRINAGAR – SONMARG (78 kms) – KARGIL (125 kms/5-6 hrs)

Day Services: Car, Stay & Dinner
Major Attraction: Sonmarg Zojila Pass

Arrive at Srinagar Airport, meet our transporter and proceed to Sonmarg (also Known as meadow of gold). After spending sometime in Sonmarg, drive to Kargil via Zojila pass and Drass Valley. On the way catch the glimpses of famous Tiger Hill Tololing which played an important role in Kargil War. Kargil War Memorial will be another interesting place to cover enroute. Reach Kargil town and check into the hotel.

Day 2

KARGIL TO LEH (218 kms/ 7-8 hrs)

Day Services: Breakfast, Dinner, Stay and Car
Major Attraction:Alchi Monastery Magnetic Hill Gurudwara Pathar Sahib .

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and hit the roads to Leh. We will make our way through Mulbek, Namika La, Fotula La, Lamayuru, Khaltse and uleytokpo. Highlights of the tour will be Alchi Monastery, Magnetic Hill and river rafting at Neemu (Sangam point of Indus and Zanskar river). Resume your trip to cover Gurudwara Pather Sahib and hall of fame museum enroute. Reach Leh and check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 3

IN & AROUND LEH

Day Services: Breakfast, Dinner, Stay and Car
Mjor Attraction: Shanti Stupa Spituk Gompa, Sindhu Ghat, 3 idiot Rancho school, Druk Padma shey, Stok Palace

After breakfast cover the spots in and around Leh. Major tourist attractions to cover will be Spituk Gompa, Sindhu Ghat, 3 idiot Rancho school, Druk Padma shey, Stok Palace and Central Asian Museum and Market. Return to hotel for Overnight stay.

Day 4

LEH – KHARDONG LA – NUBRA (160 KMS / 5-6 HRS)

Day Services: Breakfast, Dinner, Stay and Car
Major Attraction: Khardungla Pass Hunder Village

Early Morning, check out from the hotel and head on to Nubra Valley. We will drive through the famous Khardungla Pass which is one of the highest Motorable passes in the world situated at an altitude of 5359m. Other places to cover enroute will be Deskit & Hunder Villages. While visiting these villages do not forget to take a ride on Double hump Bactarian camels (ride on your own). Reach the destination and spend the night in pre-booked camps.

Day 5

NUBRA – LEH RETURN

Day Services: Breakfast, Dinner, Stay and Car
Major Attraction: Sumoor Gompa (Monastery)

After delicious breakfast drive back to Leh while enroute covering Sumoor Gompa. This colourful gompa set in the midst of rough mountains and scanty trees makes the landscape even more picture perfect. Reach Leh and check into the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 6

LEH – CHANG LA PASS – PANGONG (222 KMS/ 8-9 HRS)

Day Services: Breakfast, Dinner, Stay & Car
Major Attraction: Changla pass Pangong Lake

After Breakfast, check out from the hotel and pass through one of the Highest Motorable road in the world i.e. Changla Pass (5360 m) to reach Pangong Lake (4350 m). The clear water of this lake reflects sky color giving it a effect of changing colors from blue to turquoise/ light pink and so on throughout the day & night. Another amazing fact about this lake is that it freezes completely during winters despite being saline. Overnight stay will be in Pangong camps.

Day 7

PANGONG – LEH RETURN

Day Services: Breakfast, Dinner, Stay & Car
Major Attraction: Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace

Pack up your luggage and drive back to Leh. Enroute places to cover will be Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. Reach the town and spend a comfortable night stay in hotel.

Day 8

LEH DEPART

Meals: Breakfast & Car Only

Today is the day to say goodbye to the land of mysterious and fly back to your home. So after enjoying your breakfast check out from the hotel and get transferred to Leh Airport for onwards journey….

Payments Terms

For Himachal Package Package booking 50% advance payment required.
According to hotel policy especially in 4* and 5* we required 100% payment at the time of booking.
Remaining 50 % of the package cost will be collected on arrival (First day of the Tour).
For international packages 100% advance payment required at the time of booking.
For Train and Flight 100% advance payment required at the time of booking.
In case of non-payment either advance or remaining the company has full right to stop the services.

Note

TravelTrails have listed the maximum number of sightseeing that can be covered in a day. However, few places may not be possible to visit due to heavy snowfall / traffic jams/ limited time/ closed roads or monuments/ unforeseen incidents etc.

THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE TRAVEL

Avoid travelling if you do not feel physically fit or check with your doctor before embarking for Leh Ladakh Trip.
Please carry Identity Proofs (Driver License/Adhaar/PAN), Passport size Photographs and at least 5 photocopies of Permits.
Since Leh Ladakh region is a remote area, do not forget to keep extra cash, battery backups.
Carry AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) Relievers, Portable Oxygen Cylinders, Medical Kit, Hygiene and Cosmetic products.
If symptoms of AMS persist, shift to lower altitude place. You can resume your trip as soon as you feel confident to move forward.
Appetite and digestion changes with high altitude so stay hydrated and avoid heavy meals, smoking and alcohols.
Carry Warm, comfortable and waterproof clothes along with some summer apparels.
Leh Ladakh faces high connectivity issues and only Post-paid numbers (esp. BSNL nos.) work in this region.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All the cancellations must be communicated in written.
Token amount is non refundable in any cases.
Cancellations made 15 Days prior to travel date will attract cancellation charges.
Cancellations charges will vary from 25 % - 50% of the total tour package cost.
100 % Retention charges will be levied for bookings canceled within 15 days of travel date or
No show scenarios.
No refunds will be given in case of missed or unused services. This includes Flights, Trains Hotel stays, meals, sightseeing, transfers, entry ticket, permits or any other BBH services.
TravelTrails have the right to cancel your Invoice due to insufficient Advance Amount i.e. 50% of the total tour Package Cost.
In case, clients are suspected to indulge in any kind of illegal activity or violent behaviour, TravelTrails will immediately stop the services while holding all the refunds.
